Akritochori
|
Ακριτοχώρι
Continuing
our small itinerary, and after Vasilitsi, we encounter the village
of Akritochori. Akritochori in former times was called Grizi;
nevertheless, it maintained its smiling traditional features, its
square, the giant grown vineyards and plane trees and nests into the
open wings upon Mavrovouni, which counts 303 residents only. The
village was also effective since it is associated with the pride of the
1821 struggles of the nation having offered to the country a number of
fighters and heroes.
